Under the supervision of the Lead Operator and the Shift Supervisor, you are responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the process systems and equipment in the assigned area of responsibility. You are the Operating Authority for the assigned area of responsibility for the PTW system. Your main duties are : • The safe, efficient, and effective monitoring and operation of all processes systems, and equipment in the assigned area of responsibility. • The routine inspection, monitoring and recording of operating conditions, keeping of accurate daily/shift records of equipment and systems in the form of a daily log sheet. • The routine inspection and monitoring of the process consumables and the organization of replenishment(s) as required. • The routine starting /stopping of equipment and/or adjustments to the process and equipment as directed by the DCS Operator. • The identification and reporting of plant / system defects. Your PTW Area responsibilities are: • Undertake the planning, preparation, and execution of equipment and/or system isolation as required for routine PPM, Corrective Maintenance, maintenance and/or projects campaigns; and/or integrity verification inspection, as specified on the relevant work request and PTW. • Continuously or periodically monitor the work activities and progress to ensure compliance with the PTW requirements and restrictions. Maintain an accurate daily report / diary of work events. • Undertake the final inspection at the completion of all works, • ensuring the works have been completed satisfactory to the scope and PTW requirements; all tools, materials and debris removed; where applicable, determine that the equipment / system is deemed to be worthy (line walking) of returning to service; and execute the closure of the PTW, and work request. • Carry out shift cover (as required) for the DCS Operator. • Provide technical knowledge and experience in diagnosing and resolving operational problems, and/or identification of opportunities for improvement. • Provide accurate and clear communications to operations and facilities team personnel to enable meeting of team targets and goals. • Feedback to the DCS Operator of any changes to production which affect work plans and schedules. • Maintain an accurate daily report / diary of work events. • Understand and have detailed knowledge of the company's Emergency Response Procedures. • Perform in an emergency role as defined by the company's emergency response procedures to pass on verbally and in writing a comprehensive hand-over of on-going operations and equipment status. • As and when required or as position dictates, participate as part of the emergency response team.   |
